Episode Notes

For 10 years I’ve resided in Houston moved here when I got married from Dallas TX, after I traveled from Los Angeles CA to be closer to family (still miss the ocean and mountains) but desperately left my birth place Kansas City MO because of the snow; I think I may be allergic.

Many things I enjoy now came from not liking them originally; example writing - I thought it involved too much over thinking; now I easily allow myself to pin words that are picturesque, easeful inspiring or ideals of comic truths. I also could not imagine me “zip lining - now I’ll hook up to go beyond heights of top trees to enjoy spectacular views below.  In my younger adult years going to a museum seem waste of time – now whenever I am visiting any city, I make a plan to check one out the various galleries and art studios .  However, one thing I’ve always wanted to do; help - be helpful.  It gives me my biggest joy; I attempt to do something for someone without any purpose for recognition daily.

I am currently a volunteer with the Amos House of Faith, as well as volunteer with Women’s Roots (a prison ministry), The Bridge Community Church Prison Outreach, and mentor at Krause Children Center. I was former co-founder in collaboration with Girl Scouts and J C Penny (Dallas TX) with ”Poise & positively fashionable” workshops and participated in reading to our golden age seniors.

I welcome being a good and faithful servant.
